Susanne Mosely

Managing Director & Licensed Conveyancer

With over 25 years of experience in the Legal and Conveyancing Industry, starting as a Paralegal and becoming a qualified Licensed Conveyancer in 1999, Sue expanded her family’s business into Hunter Legal & Conveyancing in 2014. Over the last 10 years successfully building the firm to have a great team of like-minded, passionate people with a heart for their community. She has taken her passion for helping others along with her education to create a business like no other. Sue has reached out to many Australia wide providing a service that exceeds the expectations of many, resulting in their continual return to HLC and continuing relationships with her clients. Her experience includes the acquisition and sale of residential and rural property, commercial property, off the plan development sales, old system transactions, and commercial and retail leasing, servicing a diverse range of clients over her years including property developers, corporations, individuals, and charitable entities.

Sue is passionate about property law and empowers her clients with the necessary strategies to gain the upper hand against competitors when it comes to securing property in the NSW region. Her dedication is shown in her availability to her clients including after hours and weekend service, with personal and regular communication. She consistently walks side by side with her clients from beginning to end alleviating the stress and giving her clients’ great piece of mind and confidence.

Her commitment to her clients and high level of service is shown in the growth of the business throughout her career and the firm has been retained by thousands of clients based on word of mouth referrals.

Sue is a strong leader and provides knowledge and guidance to her team to ensure that all clients are well supported, provided with up to date legal advice and are treated with the utmost respect and individual service. Her clients are her number one priority and she prides her team on their communication and friendly service serving the Conveyancing and Legal needs of the community. Her success has always been based on giving personal attention to the details of every matter by a team of Lawyers, Conveyancers and support staff dedicated to pursuing the complete satisfaction of every client. Philip Hill

Founder

Philip Hill was admitted as a solicitor in 1968 and has been practicing in the Hunter Valley for over 50 years. His passion for helping people and supporting his Community is the foundation on which the firm was built.

His traditional values and high level of customer service have been proudly passed on to his daughter. Phil built the practice on building long-term relationships within the Community and maintains those to this very day.

Jasmine Spink

Licensed Conveyancer

Jasmine has worked in the Legal Industry for over 10 years and has a passion for property. Jasmine was admitted as a Licensed Conveyancer in 2020 after years of managing conveyancing matters as PA to our Managing Director. She understands that each transaction is unique and can be an overwhelming experience for many people and aims to provide peace of mind every step of the way for her clients, having genuine understanding for her client’s individual needs. Jasmine is our problem solver and has a strong focus on customer service to ensure our clients have the best advice and information possible.

Being accessible to clients is important and Jasmine always endeavours to ensure clients are kept up to date throughout the entire Conveyancing process.

Growing up in the Maitland area she knows the Hunter Region well and loves being a part of the Local Community and supporting Community events. Jasmine enjoys her time outside of the office attending the gym, going on hikes, and adventuring.

Ebony Smider

Licensed Conveyancer

Ebony is a Licensed Conveyancer who started her career in the Conveyancing Industry in 2006.Ebony is confident, knowledgeable and able to assist with all elements of a Conveyancing transaction.Ebony’s empathy is one of her strongest qualities. She understands that Conveyancing transactions can be an overwhelming experience for many people and her aim is to provide an efficient and personal service to each and every client.Ebony genuinely appreciates that buying and selling a property is often the most significant transaction many of her clients will undertake and values the relationships built with her clients during this time. She believes that communication is the key to a smooth transaction and strives to keep all parties up to date and informed with the aim of making make every transaction as stress-free and enjoyable for our clients as possible.

Ebony is the proud mum of two girls and spends most of her time outside of the office ferrying her girls around to their various activities and interests. She also enjoys attending the local cricket most weekends, reading, music, and exploring new places with her girls.

Ashleigh Macpherson

Senior Solicitor

Ashleigh joined our team in 2020 and has been a Solicitor for 13+ years. She specialises in Wills & Estates, Commercial & Property Law.

Ashleigh has a Bachelor of Finance / Bachelor of Laws and was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in 2011.

She is a natural problem solver and strives to make sure clients have a smooth and stress-free experience in all matters. Ashleigh has a range of experience in Estate Planning, Deceased Estates, Commercial, Leasing, and Property Law. Her work ethic, professionalism, and enthusiasm are highly regarded by anyone she meets. Ashleigh is compassionate to the needs of her clients and makes talking about hard things easy. She helps her clients every step of the way and keeps them informed throughout the process.

She is passionate and proactive about ensuring her clients receive priority service and instruction from start to finish in their matter. Ashleigh believes that communication is the key to providing effective and efficient legal advice and prides herself on her ability to work with people from all walks of life.

Ashleigh is a proud member of the local Maitland community and is an avid supporter and participant of the Maitland Rugby & Netball Clubs respectively. Ashleigh enjoys balancing the demands of work with those of her young children and enjoys the family first dynamic offered to both employees and clients alike at Hunter Legal & Conveyancing.

Milli Brown

Licensed Conveyancer

Milli joined the HLC family in 2017. Born and raised in the Hunter Valley, Milli is passionate about being a part of and supporting the local community in any way she can.

She prides herself on her integrity and ethics and always gives everything she has to assist her clients in ensuring their transactions are as stress-free as possible.Milli worked her way up from Reception to a Conveyancing Assistant grasping every area of the Conveyancing process rapidly. Whilst raising a gorgeous young family Milli has studied hard whilst working to become a qualified and Licensed Conveyancer in 2019 and an integral part of the team.

Milli’s strongest quality is she is very pro-active and understands that Conveyancing transactions can be an overwhelming experience for many people and her aim is to provide peace of mind every step of the way for her clients.Milli is passionate about building long term relationships and believes that communication and good relationships are the keys to a smooth transaction.

She is a proud mum of two boys and loves being active, music, travelling, and supporting community events.

Erin Skelton

Executive PA/ Office Manager

Erin is our results-oriented Executive PA/ Office Manager who prides herself on developing strong relationships with clients and referrers alike. Her passion for organisation and customer service is like no other and no client walks away without feeling like they are our only client. Starting at our front desk in 2018 and working her way up to Management, Erin sets an amazing example for all staff and puts clients at an instant ease the moment they walk through the door. The support and encouragement Erin shows to the HLC team brings unity and efficiency in all areas. Erin takes great pleasure in being instrumental in our team growth and community activities helping to create the culture the firm is well known for within our Community.

Nicole Whipps

Licensed Conveyancer

With over 20 years of experience in Conveyancing, Nicole takes pride in her attention to detail and efficient work practices, helping to ensure client’s property transactions run as smoothly as possible whilst continually moving. Nicole’s experience and knowledge of the property market across the region in Rural, Residential, and Commercial areas, enables her to provide accurate advice and understand the potential issues that can arise for everyone from first-home buyers through to investors. While being able to identify issues Nicole is practically minded in her approach to resolving them and prides herself on developing long-standing relationships with her clients. Her experience is invaluable to the Property and Legal Teams.

Sophie Conicella

Junior Conveyancer

Miss Sophie is the 3rd generation to work in the family business. Starting in admin throughout high school and growing up in the business has given her a like-minded passion for customer service and helping people in our community. Her dedication to helping others and professional demeanour along with her excellent customer service skills makes her a great addition to the HLC property team. Completing Uni in 2024 Sophie will be our youngest Licensed Conveyancer and 4th to complete our Workplace study program and work her way up. Sophie has had the honour of being mentored by some of the industry’s best and has already developed strong relationships with our clients and referrers. She is known for her friendly nature which puts clients at ease from day one. We are so excited to see what’s ahead for Sophie in the years to come.
